Founder-Hope Harvest Uganda

Hello, I want to introduce myself to you.

I’m the Founder of Hope Harvest Uganda.  I was born on 11/10/1983 in a village called Butaswa in Kamuli District Eastern Uganda.

My full name is Waiswa Festo Innocent. Moses and Monica Dhikusooka are my parents; they are poor peasants. We are 8 children, 3 boys, and 5 girls. Out of the 8 children, I was able to get some level of education.  Education came as a struggle and suffering as a result of family poverty.

In 2001, I accepted the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ into my life; and it was then He opened the door for me to gain more education where a pastor took me in and supported me to get a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, which I obtained in 2008.

I am also a professional, Social Worker with a diploma in Social Work practice. As my last employer, I have worked with various organizations, including the Uganda Red Cross Society.

God called me in 2012 to begin a church ministry, and it is then my working with Red Cross Society ended. I have been in full-time ministry and am currently overseeing two churches, Amazing Grace Church, Kamuli, and Amazing Grace Church in Buyende; both of which I am the Lead Pastor and overseer.  I am an ordained pastor through, “Born Again Faith Uganda”.

In 2015, God spoke to me to begin a charity organization in the name of, ‘child line ministry, Uganda’, which later became Hope Harvest Uganda in late 2016.

Today, currently am working with Hope Harvest Uganda as the Director. In addition, we have 3 volunteers that assist with Hope Harvest Uganda.

As of 2019, I am mobilizing support for the orphans and vulnerable children, who are going through a hard life in education as I have gone through. My mission and passion are to see them get an education and to have a good life and be successful.

One of my main goals is to have an orphanage school in place to help and support these young, vulnerable children.  I went through it, and I know what it means being an orphan, or or coming from a poor vulnerable family which can’t provide the basic necessities of life. I am an example.  I am currently married to a wonderful woman, Namukaya Annet and we have 3 kids. She is an excellent singer and worship leader at the church, Amazing Grace Church Kamuli.
